Don't Believe the Type - calligraphy workshop

My recent interest in calligraphy, specifically brush calligraphy has found an opportunity to be satisfied. I participated in a workshop on brushpen calligraphy by Luca Barcellona - a fantastic Italian calligrapher.
The workshop was a part of a symposium Don't Believe the Type, organised by the Ship of Fools gallery, that took place in Den Haag on the 6th of October. During this day with there were workshops by Luca Barcellona, Job Wouters and Yomar Augusto, lectures by Martijn Sandberg, Alex Trochut, Yomar Augusto and the exhibition with the work of internationally known artist and designers.

Comet lamp by TOM DIXON for Veuve Clicquot Champagne

This is one of the stories about how design is promoted by exclusive products, which are promoted by good design.
Comet lamp by
TOM DIXON for Veuve Clicquot Champagne made of DesignBox - its own exclusive eco-friendly gift box. This one of three collaborations was part of an installation called "Out of The Box" shown at Superstudio+ during Milan Furniture Fair 2009.
Clever and appropriate way to promote such a product like champagne and it's new packaging.
